Review: (500) Days Of Summer
I attended a screening of this a few days ago through free tickets I won. I read up on it before viewing it and saw that it was widely praised at Sundance and SXSW. It’s an offbeat romantic comedy about a man, Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), basically a hopeless romantic, who falls in love with a woman, Summer (Zoey Deschanel), who doesn’t believe in true love. The story spans 500 days in non-linear fashion, with each scene being a random day of their relationship. The randomness of the scenes was a nice touch and didn’t distract from the story at all. I really enjoyed the performances of the lead actors. I highly recommend you go see this when it hits theaters on July 17th.
